Creating Classroom Culture

Ayodele Harrison, Upper School math teacher, has spent the past year developing presentations and workshops around the topic of equipping teachers and teacher-leaders with the tools and resources to build healthy classroom culture in order to improve learning outcomes for all students. He has shared this important work with the teacher interns at Breakthrough Atlanta, for whom he served as an instructional coach in summer 2015. He has also presented at the annual Georgia Independent School Association and the Martin Institute for Teaching Excellence. In 2015-16, Ayodele will present on classroom culture at a number of regional conferences throughout the southeast as well as the national People of Color Conference sponsored by the National Association of Independent Schools.
